Heng Fatt Privacy Policy
In this Policy, “we”, “us”, “our” or “Heng Fatt” means Heng Fatt Property Pte. Ltd., “you”, “your” or “yours” means the persons to whom this Policy applies and “Heng Fatt” means Heng Fatt Property Pte. Ltd., its subsidiaries, related corporations and affiliates.
1. General
- This Policy provides information on the obligations and policies of Heng Fatt in respect of an individual client/consumer’s Personal Data. Heng Fatt’s Management, staff and representatives shall use reasonable endeavors to respect the confidentiality of and keep safe all Personal Data collected, stored, used, disclosed, and processed for, or on behalf of Heng Fatt. Use of Personal Data shall be done in an appropriate manner and in accordance to the Personal Data Protection Act and this Policy.
- For the purposes of this Policy, in line with the provisions under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012), of Singapore (“PDPA”). By interacting with us, using our website and/or mobile application, or submitting information to us, you agree and hereby grant Heng Fatt your clear and unambiguous consent to collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data, and your consents herein are additional to any rights which we may have at law to collect, use, or disclose your Personal Data.
- What Personal Data We Collect
2.1 Personal Data is data that can be used to identify a natural person. Generally, we may collect Personal Data in various ways including during your engaging our services (when you fill up any government agencies and regulators prescribed agreements/forms, feedback, and application forms), via referrals, introducers, seminars, meetings, personal networks, social media, and any modes of communications used by Heng Fatt from time to time, the following Personal Data:
- Your personal information such as full name, NRIC/passport numbers, residential address, work address, e-mail address, telephone/mobile phone number, date of birth, gender, dependents’ details necessary to fulfil special requests such as emergency contact information, bank account details, photographs, and images, etc.
- Your personal government-issued identification documents such as NRIC/FIN/Work Permit/ Birth Certificate and Passport, only when required under the law or necessary to accurately establish or verify your identity to a high degree of fidelity.
- Other personal details (where relevant) when applying for an employee position: name, nationality, marital status, languages spoken or written, professional and work experience (job title, occupation, employment history, work experience, curriculum vitae; education and professional qualifications, schools attended, academic transcripts, membership of professional bodies).
- Thirty-Party Consent: If you have a one-on-one meeting with Heng Fatt or do a transaction with Heng Fatt on behalf of another individual, you must first obtain consent from that individual for Heng Fatt to collect, use or disclose his/her personal data. If you consent to us obtaining your personal information through third-party service providers designated by us, we shall obtain your personal information as per above-mentioned including any information registered by you with the third party through such third-party service providers. Further, you agree to give Heng Fatt the consent to use and store your data in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
- Purpose of Collection of Personal Data
3.1 The Personal Data mentioned in Paragraph 2.1 is collected for the following purposes:
- Process job applications, recruitment, and selection;
- Customer care and account management;
- Prospecting for potential clients through various channels stated in Paragraph 2.1
- Fact-finding of potential clients’ real estate needs;
- Planning and sourcing for interested clients based on the clients’ budget goal and real estate preferences;
- Completion of a sales transaction;
- Keeping clients informed of new real estate and investment opportunities that may be relevant to them;
- Market research and analysis (using anonymized data);
- Carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered between you and us;
- Comply with legal obligations and regulatory requirements;
- Communicate with enquirers and analyze website visitors;
- Respond to enquiries, update requests and feedback on user experience;
- Seeking professional advice, including legal advice;
- Financial reporting, regulatory reporting, management reporting, risk management, audit and record keeping purposes;
- Verifying your identity, processing payments as well as managing our administrative, business operations (including the processing, storage, monitoring, and backup of data) and complying with internal policies and procedures;
- Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, directives, orders, instructions, and requests from any authorities, including regulatory, governmental, tax and law enforcement authorities or other authorities; and/or
- Any other purpose relating to any of the above.
- Use of Personal Data for Marketing Purposes
4.1 We may use your Personal Data to offer you our services including investment opportunities in real estate that may be of interest to you. Such marketing messages may be sent to you in various modes including but not limited to our in-app live chat, electronic mail, short message service, telephone calls and other mobile messaging services. In doing so, we will comply with the PDPA and other applicable data protection and privacy laws.
4.2 If we have an ongoing relationship with you and you have not indicated to us that you do not wish to receive telemarketing messages sent to your Singapore telephone number, we may send you telemarketing messages to your Singapore telephone number related to the subject of our ongoing relationship via short message service and other mobile messaging services (other than a voice or video call). You may at any time request that we stop contacting you for marketing purposes via selected or all modes.

4.4 Nothing in this section shall vary or supersede the terms and conditions that govern our relationship with you.
- Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Data
- We may from time to time and in compliance with all applicable laws on data privacy, disclose your Personal Data to any personal of Heng Fatt, its subsidiaries, related corporations, affiliates or to third parties, whether located in Singapore or elsewhere to carry out the purposes set out above. Please be assured that when we disclose your Personal Data to such parties, we require them to ensure that any Personal Data disclosed to them is kept confidential and secure.
a. Without derogating from any of the above, Heng Fatt may also disclose your Personal Data to the following third parties:
i. External advisors e.g. lawyer, auditors and accountants;
ii. Financial institutions providing loans;
iii. Insurance companies;
v. Third party service providers and consultants e.g. IT/Technical Support/IT service providers, including but not limited to webhosting companies and cloud service providers;
vi. Any agent or subcontractor acting on Heng Fatt’s behalf for the provision of its services e.g. Recruitment Agencies/Headhunters, Commercial Service and Training Providers.
b. While Heng Fatt will only share your data with authorized persons on a ‘need to know basis’, Heng Fatt may disclose your Personal Data to the abovementioned parties also in the occurrence of any of the following events:
i. To the extent that Heng Fatt is required to do so by the law;
ii. In connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings;
iii. To establish, exercise or defend Heng Fatt’s legal rights;
v. To any person and/or entity for the purpose of processing such information on Heng Fatt’s behalf;
vi. To third parties who provide services to Heng Fatt or on its behalf;
vii. With your consent; and
viii.For the purposes of disaster recovery.
5.2 We may transfer, store, process, and/or deal with your Personal Data outside Singapore. In doing so, we will comply with the PDPA and other applicable data protection and privacy laws.
- Storage and Retention of Personal Data
6.1 Your Personal Data is retained if the purpose for which it was collected remains and until it is no longer necessary for any other legal or business purposes will be destroyed or disposed of in an appropriate manner.
- Access, Correction and Withdrawal
7.1 You may request access or make corrections to or withdraw your consent to any use of your Personal Data held by us. We may charge a fee for processing your request for access. Such a fee depends on the nature and complexity of your access request. Information on the processing fee will be made available to you upon your request. If you withdraw your consent to any or all use of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, we may not be able to continue to provide our services to you. 8.1 Our website may contain links to other websites and resources which are not maintained by us. We have no control over and do not take any responsibility for these third-party websites and their Personal Data handling practices, and you are encouraged to review the Personal Data Policies of such websites.
- Cookies and Related Technologies
9.1 Our website and mobile application use cookies. A cookie is an element of data placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use a mobile application. - 12.1.We may amend this Policy from time to time to ensure that this Policy is consistent with any developments to the way we use your Personal Data or any changes to the laws and regulations applicable to us. We will make available the updated Policy on our website (www.hengfatt.com). All communications, transactions, and dealings with us shall be subject to the latest version of this Policy in force at the time.
12.2 We may from time to time update the Policy. Updates will be posted on our website and/or mobile application. By continuing to interact with us, subject to applicable law, you agree to be bound by the prevailing terms of the Policy as so updated from time to time.
